AFFABLE ADVERTISES!

The other shoe has finally dropped, and the trumpets are blaring. Affable Comics is being promoted on the super-groovy web site "Comic Book Resources" - RIGHT NOW!

You can visit the site via our links section.

Thanks to Jonah Weiland (Head Honcho of "CBR") For making this possible.

A hearty "WELCOME" to any new visitors as well.

Decadence Day is on the way. What a long journey. I've had the idea since 1990. Previously in the works for a Spring 2006 debut - evidence to your left.

Its prolonged germination has morphed into a pre/post Comic-Con debut.

You know how big the San Diego Comic Convention is when all you have to say is "Comic-Con" and most people know which one you mean. From July 23rd - July 27th.

Our Robby Musso (in spirit only - he's freelance) will be there. Hint - To score some points with Master Musso, bring a copy of an old Journey album for him to sign. "Don't Stop Believing".

Back on topic, a D-Day comic is cooking.

This summer we dine.

Check this spot to find out that "storytelling has a new champion."

And I can't wait to meet them...

Doing business. Making time for my family & friends too.

Still begging top talent for art. Nothing new.

Art forever? You bet!

Here come the nice, looking so cool, Affable Comics... the company with the 'TM' after the word "Comics," finally has an example of sequential art on display.

On the other hand, Affable Comics hasn't even been in business for 2 years yet! Look at everything on display - all for you. Back in August 2006, this place was just a domain name and a logo. Lonely! Brrrrrr!

The one chuckle I have been able to wring from the sponge of my time & money, has been the convoluted journey that lead to this crazy story "Black Magic Charlatans." In the past 2 weeks I've experienced sudden flashbacks to an episode of the Simpsons where Bart created a comic that for all intentions is cut from the same cloth of super-heroic disco that B.M.C. boogies to.

And we needed 16 pages of compressed intensity to get to the same place that Bart's comic strip bullseyed in 3 panels.

Screen capture above.

There is still major-action, mystery, surprise-twists, and exposition in store for our "Black Magic Charlatans."

No Emo Vampires though.

Fun was had - in places. Teeth were ground - a lot.

As always, and I do mean always, my best effort was given.

Diligence & determination are not things to lament when creating art. They are prerequisites. Success comes from how honest the translation is.
